When to go through ComfyUI in a workflow
Going through ComfyUI is worth it when the work has to be reproducible: replaying a process exactly to produce variations of a validated image, chaining several operations on the same image, or working locally with your own files and models. For a single image, quickly and with no follow-up, a simple interface is enough. At Axiris, ComfyUI is the environment where workflows are built and measured.
The question is not "ComfyUI or not", but "when"
ComfyUI represents a generation process as a graph: every operation is visible, linked to the next, and can be replayed identically. It is a production environment, not one more application.
For a creative, the useful question is not whether to learn it, but at which point in their work it brings something.
Three cases where it is worth it
Reproducing a process exactly. A validated image has to be adapted, another format, another background, another light, without the rest changing. A graph replays the same operations in the same order; a "magic" interface does not guarantee it.
Chaining several operations on the same image. References, generation, correcting a zone, upscaling, finishing: when the work goes through five steps, seeing them linked saves you redoing the chain by hand with every attempt.
Working locally, on your own machine. Your files stay with you, the models are the ones you chose, and you know what is running.
One case where it is not
A single image, quickly, with no follow-up and no variations: a simple interface is enough. Building a graph for a single render is wasted time.
How Axiris uses it
At Axiris, ComfyUI is the environment in which workflows are built and measured. The pages of the ComfyUI section explain the software itself: installation, nodes, models, troubleshooting. This page says only one thing: go through it when your work has to be reproducible.
If your machine is not made for it, there is another way: a dedicated machine, delivered ready, with ComfyUI and Nova installed, to try without investing, then by the hour. See the offers.
