Pose
Give a character a precise pose, chosen from a library of drawings seen from several angles, rather than describing it in words.
A pose at Axiris is not described, it is chosen. The Pose Director offers a library of drawn poses, sorted by family, visible from five angles. You set your image, you choose the pose, and the character takes it: the face, the outfit, the setting and the rendering remain its own. The drawing gives the pose; the instruction, written by the tool and completed by you, decides the rest.
Pose
"Seated, one knee raised, hand on the ankle, seen from three-quarter rear." In words, a pose reads ten different ways, and the model picks one. The result is plausible, rarely the one you had in mind. A pose is shown, not described.
The Pose Director
A library of drawn poses, sorted by family, with a search, and each pose visible from five angles. You browse, you choose. You set the image of your character next to it. The character takes the pose.
What remains its own: the face, the outfit as it is worn, the setting, the rendering of the original image. What changes: the position of the body, the viewing angle. A character with mechanical arms was put through three poses in a row: three images, the same character, the same setting, three attitudes.
The drawing gives the pose, the instruction decides the rest
The tool writes the instruction: the pose in words, the camera, what is kept from the original image. You add what you want: an action, a change of outfit, a light. Ready-made sentences, by pose family, are there to get started quickly.
That is where the result is decided. The drawing inspires the pose; the instruction imposes everything else. A failed output is first looked for in the instruction, what it imposes or forgets, not in the library. A fine detail of the drawing, the hand holding the ankle, carries over or not depending on the model chosen behind it.
The library
The drawings in the library are redrawn by the studio, in line, without joint circles: a mannequin with visible joints left bracelets on the character's skin. The library grows, pose by pose. Any library of drawings organised the same way can be plugged into it.
Where it is done
The Pose Director is a studio tool; its arrival in the online axiris.ai interface follows the Box page. Like the other Directors, it is not downloaded: the library, the instructions and the model stay with Axiris, you receive the image.
It combines with the character sheet, which says who the character is, and with inpaint, to correct a hand or a fold after the pose. The tool's page: Pose Director.
